About the event

GODZILLA has arrived! To celebrate, we're having a launch party featuring the new machine and we'll be trying out a new pinball format! This is a modified version of a fair-strikes knockout tournament. You'll play in 4-player groups, with 1st place getting 0 strikes, 2nd and 3rd place each getting one strike, and 4th place receiving two strikes. In three player groups, 1st place will get 0 strikes, second place gets 1 strike, and 3rd place gets 2 strikes. The way we'll be modifying this tournament in a world-first, 1st place will be determined at the end of ball one and will not need to play their second or third ball. 2nd place will be determined by the next highest score at the end of ball 2 and will not need to play their third ball. And finally 3rd place will be determined at the end of ball three between the remaining two players. In a 3 player game, all three players will play their first two balls and first place will be determined at the end of ball 2.

It will be the regular $20 admission to Next Level + $5 buy-in to the tournament. This buy-in goes directly to the Project Pinball (http://projectpinball.org/) non profit and there will be additional opportunities to donate more money throughout the tournament for small game-playing benefits. This will *not* be an IFPA event, but we will have trophies and prizes for the winners. Next Level also contributes $2 from each admission into the Next Level Championship prize fund.  The tournaments start at 7pm, so please check in at the front desk no later than 6:50pm.

Tournaments are open to people of all ages and skill levels. We have some of the best players in the country here in Oregon, as well as many new people getting into the hobby all the time! It's a great way to improve your skills as well as just meet friendly and fun people in the community! Standardly, there are about 30 people per event.

*Please note that the tournament is subject to slight modifications depending on attendance and machine availability. We may modify a tournament to have different group sizes or edit # of rounds to ensure decent tournament lengths.*
